Opec meeting in Algeria: Meeting may become the biggest in committee’s history


Opec and non-Opec meeting, slated for September 23 rd in Algiers, may be the biggest of its kind in the history of the committee due to the number of participants.


Sixteen countries have been invited to attend the meeting of the ministerial monitoring committee of OPEC +, a source in one of the delegations told TASS.

“This meeting may become the biggest in the number of participants in the history of the committee,” added the same source.

“Only 16 countries have been invited, the meeting will be held in the format of mini OPEC.

According to the same source, “only Ecuador and Equatorial Guinea will not come to the meeting.”

It is not clear if Iran will take part in the meeting of the committee.

The ministerial monitoring committee includes six countries – Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Venezuela, Algeria and Oman.
