An Algerian man, aged 23, is facing trial in Turkey for biting the finger of a nurse who applied first aid as the Algerian tourist was beaten following a fist-fight with the bodyguards of a club in the Taksim neighborhood.
The offender, named Nour al-Islam, was beaten by the night club’s bodyguards after they refused to let him enter the premises on Jan. 28.
Inside the ambulance, the injured man bit the finger of 24-year-old Turkish nurse while he was given first aid for an open wound on his eyebrow.
“He was too aggressive. He bit my right thumb and I fainted after I saw I was bleeding a lot,” the woman told the police.
According to Demirören News Agency, a prosecutor’s office completed the investigation last month and indicted Nour al-Islam for “injuring someone with culpable negligence.”
In this aspect, the Algerian offender could be jailed for up to one year.
