Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel was received, Thursday in Cape Town, by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, to whom he convoyed a message from the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in which he reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to furthen strengthen its relations with South Africa.
As part of his official visit to South Africa, Mr. Messahel was received by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, to whom he delivered a message addressed to him by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika,
In the mesage, the Head of State reaffirms Algeria’s commitment to “strengthening its relations with South Africa and the continuation of bilateral dialogue on regional and international issues of common interest”.
President Ramaphosa, for his part, “expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the bilateral relations, emphasizing the need for both countries to put all their potentialities at the service of socio-economic development of the two countries.
Mr. Ramaphosa also welcomed the tradition of consultation between the two countries, reaffirming “South Africa’s commitment to working with Algeria in regional and international fora to promote ideals of peace, security and development “.
The Foreign Minister made a presentation on “the fruitful talks he had with his South African counterpart, reiterating Algeria’s commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership that binds it to South Africa.
