A total of 554 multi-purpose and all-terrain Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Sprinter vehicles have been delivered Monday to several national institutions and structures, said the National Defense Ministry in a communiqué.
This new quota is made up of 294 all-terrain type C vehicles and another 260 Sprinter vehicles. The quota delivery protocol of the Central Directorate of Materiel of the Ministry of National Defense, consisting of 313 vehicles of which 272 type C and 41 Sprinter type, was signed by the Chief of the equipment delivery committee of the SAFAV leadership, Colonel Touhami Redaoui, who said that this acquired quota is intended to strengthen the resources of the ANP units.
For his part, the representative of the Sonatrach Group’s National Drilling Company, senior engineer Omar Lebsis recalled that his company had acquired a total of 165 Sprinter-type vehicles since 2015.
The DG for Civil Protection has received a quota of 26 vehicles for an order for 210 C-type ambulances, 46 driving vehicles and 97 fire-fighting trucks.
