PM Messahel conveys message from President Bouteflika to Zimbabwean counterpart


Foreign Affairs Minister Abdelkader Messahel was received, Friday in Harare, by Zimbabwean president Emmerson Mnangagwa, to whom he transmitted a message of “brotherhood and solidarity from President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika,” said a communiqué of the Foreign Ministry.


Messahel “conveyed a message of “brotherhood and solidarity” from President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika to President Mnangagwa.

President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, reiterated Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its historical ties with Zimbabwe,” the statement said.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs “reiterated Algeria’s willingness to step up bilateral cooperation in all spheres “.

He said that “Algeria and Zimbabwe will continue to work together to face common challenges”.

For his part, President Mnangagwa “expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the political links binding both countries and the regular nature of the dialogue between the two countries on  regional and international issues of common interest,” added the same source.


Mnangagwa “instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey to the President of the Republic his fraternal greetings and esteem as well as his wishes for happiness and progress to the Algerian people,” the statement concluded.
