Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska expressed willingness to further boost Algerian-Spanish relations.
The official highlighted that the new Spanish government, formed by new Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez last month is keen to further enhance the relations in all fields.
The Minister expressed satisfaction with the quality of co-operation between the two countries, covering various sectors as well as the exchange of intelligence in the fight against organized crime and human trafficking
“Co-operation between the two countries’ interior ministries mainly concerns the fight against terrorism, in which Algeria has great experience,” he said.
Grande-Marlaska is paying an official visit to Algeria at the invitation of Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Noureddine Bedoui.
