Mauritania’s Holy Quran recitation competition: Youcef Saidi wins 2nd prize

Young Algerian Youcef Saidi won Monday, in Mauritania, the second prize of the competition of Holy Quran recitation, with the participation of nine competitors.

In this edition, which took place Monday night at the Palais des congrès in Nouakchott, Algeria’s Youcef Saïdi won the second prize while Mauritanian Adjah Ould Bab won the first one.

The 3rd prize was awarded to the candidates of Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, respectively, Mahammet Lay and Djikiti Dialou.

Mauritania’s Holy Quran recitation competition brought under one roof participants from many countries, including Mauritania, Algeria, Morocco, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau and Turkey.
