FM Messahel conveys message from President Bouteflika to Malian counterpart


Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel, bearer of a message from President of the Republic Abdelaziz  Bouteflika, was received, Tuesday in Bamako, by Malian President Ibrahim  Boubacar Keïta.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel was received  by Mali’s President Ibrahim Boubakar Keita, to whom he conveyed the expressions of fraternity and esteem of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika as well as his message on willingness to strengthen the bilateral relations and consultations on regional issues.

President Keita reiterated his gratitude to President Bouteflika for his personal commitment and his efforts to accompany the Malians on the path of dialogue to restore peace and stability in the country.

He also expressed satisfaction with the quality of bilateral relations and the considerable progress made in various areas of cooperation as well as in the implementation of the Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, resulting from the Algiers Process.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, for his part, underlined Algeria’s commitment to the development of bilateral cooperation, regular consultations with neighboring Mali and the pursuit of efforts to address the common challenges, including terrorism, organized crime and illegal migration.
