Algerian association “EL BADR” awarded by WHO for commitment to cancer patient care

“Algerian association “EL BADR” will be awarded, this year, by World Health Organization (WHO) for its commitment to cancer patient care,” said a statement released by the association.

In this aspect, the President of the association, accompanied by Dr. TERKMANE Yacine, his 1st vice president are expected, this Friday, May 25, 2018, at 9 o’clock at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, to receive a distinction from the WHO.

“This award honors not only our association “El BADR” , but also the city of Blida, public authorities as well as donors and benefactors who are still supporting us in our mission of accompaniment of cancer patients,” reads the document.

It is worth mentioning that this association was awarded, in 2015, by WHO in recognition of its efforts in the fight against smoking.
