Military industry: 410 Mercedes-Benz vehicles delivered

A total of 410 Mercedes Benz buses and multifunctional trucks were delivered, Tuesday, by Algerian Motors Services-Mercedes-Benz (SPA AMS-MB) Company (Rouiba) to the Central Directorate of Equipment at the National Defence Ministry (MDN) and public and private economic companies.

This lot includes 267 multifunction trucks and all-purpose vehicles for the benefit of the Central Directorate of Equipment at the National Defense Ministry and 143 trucks and commercial vehicles (urban buses, vans ..) for several economic enterprises manufactured by the Algerian Society for the production of heavy trucks Mercedes-Benz (SAPPL-MB) located in Rouiba and the Algerian company for the manufacture of Mercedes-Benz vehicles (SAFAV-MB) based in Tiaret.

In this aspect, a delivery protocol has been signed between the SPA AMS-MB and its various customers, namely the Central Directorate of Equipment at the National Defense Ministry, the Urban and Suburban Transport Company of Algiers (ETUSA), the National Society of marketing and distribution of petroleum products (Naftal), the Airport Service Management Establishments (EGSA), as well as several other private companies specializing in the transportation of goods.

Present at the delivery ceremony, the director of military industries at the Ministry of National Defense, Major General Rachid Chouaki, said that these delivery operations are a continuation of the implementation of the economic stimulus program, initiated by the president of the Republic, Supreme Leader of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, aiming to “revitalize and encourage domestic production”.
