Algeria and the Netherlands have signed, Wednesday in Algiers, an agreement on double taxation, at the end of the third session of the Joint Committee on Economic and Technology Cooperation, co-chaired by Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel and his Dutch counterpart Stef Blok.
The agreement was signed by Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok and Finance Minister Abderrahmane Raouia.
At the end of the signing ceremony, Messahel noted the importance of this agreement, since it “complements the agreement on the reciprocal promotion and protection of investments signed in 2007”.
In the opening statement of the session, the Minister stressed that this agreement would help to remove the obstacles to the exchange of goods, services and the transfer of capital between the two countries, as well as the encouragement of investment.
For his part, the Dutch Foreign Minister welcomed the signing of this agreement which serves the interests of both parties.
The agreement will remove tax obstacles and encourage trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, Blok said.
