19th European Festival: Duo Tamas Berki and Peter Sarik on stage in Algiers


The Hungarian duo Tamas Berki and the pianist Peter Sarik performed, on Saturday in Algiers, a jazz concert in an atmosphere of conviviality and humor.

Performing in Ibn Zeydoun Hall as part of the 19th European Festival in Algeria, the duo performed a collection of samba music; a musical genre that emerged in Brazil.

With a cheerful complicity, the duo performed, for an hour, a repertoire of a dozen subtle and captivating songs, accompanied by jazz notes magnifying love and living together as “Route 66”, “Song to my father “and” So danco samba “.

Opened last Thursday, the 19th European Cultural Festival will run until May 13 in Algiers, Annaba, Constantine, Tlemcen and Oran.

Some 20 European Union countries, including Spain, France, Portugal, Bulgaria and Sweden are taking part in this annual meeting, organized since 2000 by the EU Delegation to Algeria.
