Illegal Broadcasting of Films: ONDA Director warns against precautionary measure on Algerian planes, ships


Director General of the National Office for Copyright, Sami Bencheikh El-Hocine, expressed concerns following the hacking committed by Echorouk TV and El-Bilad TV.

Contacted by Alg24, the official voiced worry about the broadcast of “The Planet of the Apes: Supremacy” and “Kong: Skull Island”, by Echorouk TV and El-Bilad TV respectively.
“I have been screaming and denouncing the hacking by private TV channels for years,” he said.
In this aspect, the Director highlighted that several complaints by foreign rights holders were issued which may be resulted in precautionary measure on Algerian planes or ships.

Last night, private channels, namely; Echorouk TV and El-Bilad TV broadcasted “The Planet of the Apes: Supremacy” and “Kong: Skull Island”, respectively. Two films released in 2017 with a budget amounting to 150 million dollars.
