Premier Ahmed Ouyahia on Monday assured that State will encourage the graduates of agricultural institutes to invest in the sector.
The State ensures the complementarity between the sectors of agriculture and vocational education and training, on the one hand, and the equipment and machinery sector, on the other hand, said M Ouyahia at the closing of the National Conference on Agriculture.
There are 30 faculties and agricultural universities and institutes from which 13,000 graduates annually, including 5,000 holders of a master’s degree, said the prime minister.
“Nearly 45,000 young people graduate from these institutes every year, and we encourage these skills to move to the rural world and invest in agriculture,” he added.
Regarding machinery, Mr. Ouyahia noted the lack of machinery in the Algerian agriculture despite the existence of national companies producing this type of equipment.
