Sonatrach CEO Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour and Dhia Kamar Safar, chief of technical department at the Iraqi oil ministry, discussed the possibility of Algeria taking part in projects aimed at connecting Iraqi cities to the country’s gas network, Sonatrach said in a statement.
On the other hand, Sonatrach signed, Thursday in Algiers, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iraq’s Ministry of Oil, with the aim to strengthen partnership between the two countries, added the Group in a communiqué.
The memorandum of understanding was inked by Sonatrach Group CEO, Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour, and the representative of the Iraqi Oil Ministry, Dhia Kamar Safar, director general of the technical department at the Iraqi Oil Ministry.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding aims at “strengthening the partnership between the two countries”.
