President of the Republic, Minister of National Defense and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Abdelaziz Bouteflika sent Wednesday a message of condolences to the families of the victims of the military plane crash in Boufarik, in which he expressed his most heartfelt condolences and the most sincere feelings of compassion and sympathy.
“The Almighty, whose will is unavoidable, has wanted today to put to the test Algeria and its military institution through a crash of one of its planes, resulting in a large number of martyrs of national duty, a tragedy that has deeply grieved us,” President Bouteflika said in the message.
“In this painful ordeal, we can only resign ourselves to the will of Allah and offer to the families of the victims, and the whole Algerian people our most heartfelt condolences and most sincere feelings of compassion and sympathy, praying to the Almighty to fill the victims with His mercy and include them among the martyrs and the righteous in His vast paradise.”
“Exhorting the victims’ families to ask Allah for strength and courage, I assure them that I will be at their side to alleviate their sorrow and their pain,” the head of State said, concluding with the Holy Qur’an verses: “… give good tidings to the patient, who, when disaster strikes them, say “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”
