The funeral prayer for the absent will be performed, on Friday, in all mosques of the Republic, in the memory of the victims of the military aircraft crash, which occurred Wednesday morning in the air base of Boufarik (Blida, 50km south of Algiers),” said the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakf in a communiqué.
“President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has given instructions to perform the funeral prayer for the absent in the memory of the victims of Wednesday’s military plane crash,” added the communiqué.
“All mosques of the Republic will perform the funeral prayer for the absent after Friday’s prayer in accordance with President’s instructions,” said the Ministry’s communiqué.
The military aircraft crash left 257 people dead, including 10 crew members, according to the Ministry of National Defence.
