The removal of organs from dead people “is an appropriate solution” for the management of kidney transplants, said Thursday Professor Mustapha Benmansour, head of nephrology department at the University Hospital “Tidjani Damerdji” of Tlemcen.
Speaking on the occasion of a preparatory ceremony for the hundredth kidney transplant at the level of this establishment, this specialist put the focus, before the local authorities, at their head the wali, Ali Benyaiche, on the need for these levies had with regard to the constantly pressing needs of the CHU, stressing that “this does not stop at the stage of the surgical procedure or the selection of the future transplant recipients, but requires a permanent follow-up of the patients”.
