Forty-five (45) Algerian public and private publishers partake in the Paris Book Fair 2018, the greatest event devoted to books in France, which opened Friday with Russia as guest of honour.
For its 2018 edition, the organizers of Livre Paris, launched for the first time in 1981 by the National Union of the edition, wanted a programming “more editorialized, denser, and in new and innovative formats”.
Algeria is present, in a stand of 60 m2, through the public publishing houses ANEP (National Agency for Publishing and Advertising), ENAG (the National Society of Graphic Arts), OPU (Office of University Publications), research centers such as the National Center for Prehistoric, Anthropological and Historical Research (CNRPAH, the Center for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology (CRASC, Oran) and several private publishing houses, including Chiheb, Casbah Editions and Dalimen.
Nearly 500 titles are exhibited dealing with history, heritage, romance, children’s literature, culinary art and music, with a strong presence of Fine Books on Algerian cities, regions and heritage.
