Ten Palestinian fishermen have been arrested off the coast of the occupied Gaza Strip by Zionist naval forces, various sources reported this morning.
The Zionists attacked the fishing boats near Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, confiscating their three boats.
“The fishermen were detained while fishing south of the Gaza Strip,” Nizar Ayyash, head of Gaza’s fishermen union, said.
There was no comment from the Zionist military on the arrests.
According to the fishermen union, roughly 50,000 Gazans earn their living from fishing.
Last month, Zionist forces shot and killed a Palestinian fisherman. His body has not yet returned to his family for burial.
