Education: Minister of Education receives CNAPESTE members, Sunday, to relaunch dialogue

The Minister of National Education, Nouria Benghebrit, will receive, next Sunday, the members of the National Autonomous Council of Teachers of the ternary sector of education (CNAPESTE) to relaunch the dialogue regarding the demands of teachers, announced Thursday the Counselor of the Ministry of Education, Mohamed Chaib Draâ.


“The Minister of Education will receive, Sunday, March 4th, the National Office of this union (CNAPESTE) to relaunch dialogue and negotiation,” said Mr. Chaib Draa.

Regarding the points that will be discussed at this meeting, he said that the minister “responded to all the demands of this union”, adding that “90% of these claims have already been met.”


Chaib Draa said, on the other hand, that another meeting between the ministry and all the social partners will take place on March 7th to “discuss, in particular, the ratios allowing the promotion of teacher to principal teacher and of principal teacher to a trainer “.

As a reminder, the CNAPESTE decided, at the end of its extraordinary session held last Tuesday, to suspend the unlimited strike started by teachers since January 30th.
