National news agency Algeria Press Service (APS) and Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) signed, Tuesday, in Algiers, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on news exchange.
The memorandum was signed by “APS” Director General, Abdelhamid Kacha, and IRNA Agency Director General, Seyed Zia Hachémi.
Both parties agreed to exchange information services (information, photos, videos and computer graphics) as well as to carry out joint projects.
Before the signing ceremony, IRNA agency DG visited the various departments of the APS, where he received explanations on the activities of the Agency and the processing of information, meanwhile, MR. Hashemi expressed his admiration for the “organization” of these services.
The Iranian official stressed the “importance of cooperation” between the two agencies, knowing that the IRNA agency has a network of correspondents covering the majority of capitals of the Asian continent, which will allow the “APS”, he said, to diversify the information regarding this world’s part.
The official, also, stressed, in the main aspect, the importance given by his news agency to attach information from North Africa, of which “APS” can be the source.
On the other hand, Seyed Zia Hachémi praised the technical progress made by the “APS”, particularly concerning the new digital platform that the Algerian Agency has recently adopted.
