A two-day economic forum on North Africa was held Wednesday, in Berlin, under the theme “Partnerships for Economic Growth,” in the presence of economic operators from Algeria and other countries from the north African region, as well as representatives of several German economic institutions.
Organized by the Arab-Euro-Mediterranean Association for Economic Cooperation (EMA) in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berlin, this forum brought together business leaders from Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Egypt and representatives of the German Ministries, respectively, Foreign Affairs, Economy and Energy, and Economic Cooperation and Development.
Speaking at the Forum, Algeria’s ambassador to Germany, Noureddine Aouam, discussed the government’s efforts to support economic growth and improve the business climate in Algeria. He then referred to the results achieved in terms of improving the positioning of foreign operators in a market that is full of potential in all sectors of activity, particularly those considered as priorities such as industry, tourism, agriculture and food.
