The Amazigh heritage week celebrating Yennayer 2968 kicked off, Tuesday evening, at the Modern Art Museum of Oran (MAMO), under the slogan “Yennayer gathers us”.
It is worth recalling that in an instruction sent by the Director of Religious Affairs and Wakfs of the wilaya of Biskra, imams are instructed to dedicate Friday’s Khotba (speech delivered in the mosques before the sacred Friday prayer) to the “historic decision” of the president of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, to declare Yennayer national day.
