Reggane gas complex, due to be operational very soon, would bring an added value to the national economy in terms of energy products, said Thursday the Energy Directorate of Adrar (1543-km south of Algiers).

The work of this important energy project, developed in association between the Sonatrach group and foreign partners Repsol, RDE and Edison, was launched in 2012 and was entrusted to the company Petrofac, according to the technical sheet of the project.

The complex will produce, once in operation, more than eight (8) million cubic meters / day of gas and 148 barrels / day of condensate, and will exceed  2 billion m3 / year over a period of 12 years.

The complex, which cost nearly $ 3 billion, will start producing 10 of the 104 gas wells in the Reggane gas field.

The contract inked with the Petrofac group includes the construction of a gas treatment center, a gas collection network and a 74 km gas transmission line.
