Macron pays tribute to Johnny Hallyday from Algiers!

French President, Emmanuel Macron, paid tribute to French star singer, Johnny Hallyday, who died at the age of 74, in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, from Algiers.

The President, on Wednesday, started friendship and working visit to Algeria, at the invitation of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika. 

Upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, French President was welcomed by Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Abdelkader Bensalah, who was accompanied by Prime Minister

 Ahmed Ouyahia, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Gaïd Salah, Deputy Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army and Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel.


Macron’s visit, which is part of the special partnership built and strengthened by Algeria and France, will be an opportunity for the two countries to explore, during talks between the two Heads of State, new means to strengthen cooperation and partnership and discuss regional and international issues of common interest.
