Algerian, Egyptian and Tunisian Foreign Ministers for a political solution



Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel and his Egyptian counterparts Sameh Shoukri and Tunisian Khemaies Jihnaoui reiterated on Wednesday in Cairo the constant positions of their countries and the principles that guide their joint action to support efforts to settle the Libyan crisis, reaffirming their commitment to dialogue and political agreement as the only way out of a crisis in Libya.

At their meeting in Cairo as part of the Algeria-Egypt-Tunisia tripartite initiative, the three foreign ministers reiterated in the “draft” Cairo Declaration for supporting the settlement of the crisis in Libya, the positions their common action in support of efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis, including the preservation of Libya’s unity and stability and territorial integrity, the commitment to dialogue and to the Libyan political agreement as the only solution to the crisis, rejecting any form of foreign interference or recourse to the military option.
