The President of the High Islamic Council “HCI”, Bouabdallah Ghlamallah, met, Tuesday, in Algiers, with the President of the Central Council of Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mazyek, on the purpose of fighting against extremism and strengthening the links between the two bodies.
During this meeting, Mr. Aiman Mazyek and the accompanying delegation presented an overview of the activities of the Central Council of Muslims of Germany, which brings together all Muslim communities in Germany, expressing their “willingness to benefit from the Algerian experience in the fight against extremism”, said, Wednesday, a statement from the “HCI”.
For his part, Mr Mayzek stressed “the importance of strengthening the links between the two bodies through the exchange of visits, in order to allow certain European circles to benefit more from this experience”.
On his side, Mr Ghlamallah welcomed these proposals, calling on the members of the German delegation to “represent Islam and Muslims in Germany with dignity”.
Finally, Mr. Ghlamallah invited members of the delegation to take part in the international symposium to be held, next April, in Algiers, on “teaching Islam to Muslim communities abroad”, included the statement.
