Algeria-UK: Cooperation agreement to improve English teaching

Algeria and the United Kingdom signed, Monday, in Algiers, a cooperation agreement to improve the teaching of English and the training of teachers in this field.

The agreement was initialed by the National Education’s Minister, Nouria Benghabrit, and the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Andrew Noble.

Ms Benghebrit said in a press statement that the agreement “aims to improve didactics of English language education, training of trainers, governance, distance education and educational research”.

Mr. Noble pointed out, for his part, having held several meetings with the Minister of National Education with the aim of improving the teaching of the English language in Algeria through the training of inspectors and teachers”, estimating that the agreement signed “will provide a new framework for cooperation in the field of education”.
