Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Hacene Mermouri expressed, on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 22nd Algeria International Book Fair, Algeria’s readiness to provide necessary facilities to promote exchange of tourists between the two countries.
The Minister visited Iran’s pavilion and talked to Iran’s Ambassador Reza Ameri.
In this aspect, the Algerian official highlighted Iran’s ancient history, expressing willingness to further boost bilateral ties in the field of tourism.
Ameri, for his part, stressed the need for further acquaintance of the two nations with each other’s history and civilization, saying that promoting tourism collaboration with Algeria is among the priorities of Iran.
International Book Fair attended by Iran opened in a ceremony inaugurated by Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and Minister of Culture Ezzeddin Maihoubi and Iran’s ambassador in Algiers.
International Book Fair will continue until November 5.
