Tourism : Niger aims to strenghth its cooperation with Algeria



The Nigerian Minister of Tourism and Handicraft, Ahmet Boto, expressed on Saturday in Algiers his country’s will to “fruitful” and “revitalize” the Algerian-Nigerian cooperation in the field of Tourism.

“We discussed the state of cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and the need to grow and revitalize it,” the Nigerien minister  told to the press after his meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Hassen Mermouri.

He noted that he and his Algerian counterpart had approached the imperative of defining together the axes on which the development of Algerian-Nigerian cooperation in the tourism sector would be based on.

For his part, Mr Mermouri said that Tourism is one of the sectors that has the interest of the Algerian and Nigerian authorities, stressing that a framework agreement was signed by the two countries in 2011.
