“Beinsports” and “FIFA” face a scandal of financial fraud

The Swiss public prosecutor has launched an investigation with, Paris Saint German’s CEO the Qatari “Nasser al-Khelifi”, and a former secretary of FIFA, on the rights to broadcast World Cup matches, to be held in Russia 2018.

The Swiss public prosecutor announced that, “Nasser Al Khulaifi” the Executive Director of beinSports, and “Jerome Valcke” former Secretary General of FIFA, are accused of corruption and bribery case.

Jerome is suspected of receiving undue advantages by Nasser al-Khelifi for giving him the rights to broadcast Russia’s World Cup 2018 on TV.

This investigation also concerns with the rights to broadcast 2018, 2022, 2026 and 2030 World Cup.

The move was made in accordance with Article 23 of FIFA, which fights illegal competition and fraud, and also according to Article 146 of the Swiss Penal Code.
