Former Iraqi President’s death: Council of the Nation’ President inks condolences register


President of the Council of the Nation, Abdelkader Bensalah, accompanied by Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, inked on Thursday, on behalf of President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the condolence register, at the Iraqi Embassy, of the former Iraqi president’s death, Jalal Talabani, APS reported.

“It was with deep sorrow that we learned of the disappearance of the former Iraqi president, Jalal Talabani, who died after a long illness,” Bensalah wrote on the register of condolences.
“In this painful circumstance, I can only present to you, the family of the deceased and the brotherly Iraqi people, in the name of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, on behalf of the Algerian government and people, and on my behalf my deepest condolences and deep feelings of compassion, praying to God the Almighty, to grant the deceased his holy mercy and to welcome him in His vast paradise alongside those whom He has filled with His blessings and surrounded by His eternal grace, “wrote Mr. Bensalah.

“We pray to God to assist you and to lend you comfort and to protect Iraq against any misfortune,” concluded the same official.
