Ouyahia to present Government's Action Plan to Council of the Nation, Monday

The Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, is expected to present tomorrow, Monday, the Government’s Action Plan before the Council of the Nation, after its adoption, last Thursday, by a large majority, by the People’s National Assembly.


With the roadmap for the President of the Republic’s program, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, essentially advocating the pursuit of the national social development policy, the Government’s Action Plan will be debated, for two days in plenary session, by the members of the Second Chamber of the Parliament.

Prior to its adoption and responding to the concerns of the people’s representatives, the Prime Minister insisted that the government “will preserve the achievements made so far, stressing that Algeria will continue its economic and social development under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

In this regard, Mr. Ouyahia recalled the achievements of recent years, citing the construction of more than 100 hospitals and public health facilities and some 2.7 million dwellings.

He said, on the other hand, that the fight against corruption needs “perseverance and more transparency”, adding that the Government’s Action Plan “will strengthen” the transparency in the fight against this scourge.
