Messahel holds talks with South African counterpart MaiteNkoana-Mashabane

Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel, held talks with his South African counterpart MaiteNkoana-Mashabane, on the sidelines of the work of the 72nd session of UNGA, which is currently taking place in New York.


This meeting focused on the bilateral relations between Algeria and South Africa. The two ministers praised the exceptional quality of these relations and expressed their full readiness to further strengthen and expand them to new fields that are beneficial to both countries.

In addition to the items on the agenda of the current session of the General Assembly, Messahel and Mashabane addressed many regional and international issues of common interest.

Issues on the agenda of the African Union were also discussed by the two ministers.
