Spanish navy proceeds to help 25 Algerian illegal migrants off Alicante coast

The Spanish navy proceeded, Wednesday, to help 25 Algerian illegal migrants off the coast of Alicante (eastern Spain), AFP reported on Thursday.

Immigrants, aged between 16 and 37, were arrested on board five makeshift boats, which were drifting to a hundred nautical miles from the Spanish coast.

In addition, Algerian illegal migrants were embarked on board a rescue boat, and headed to the port of Alicante.

Three of them suffering from pain were cared for by volunteers of the Red Cross.
