SMA: Second summer camp for Palestinian children kicks off in Tipaza

The second summer camp for Palestinian children kicked off, on Wednesday at Douaouda Marine in the province of Tipaza, initiated by the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA), in coordination with the Palestinian Embassy in Algiers, and under the supervision of the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, APS reported.

This camp, which will last until August 23,  supervised by the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA), will bring together Palestinian children residing in Algeria and aged between 8 and 14 years.

According to the organizers, this camp, which is a space dedicated to the children of Palestine, living in Algeria, will allow them to benefit from an educational program  which includes several workshops, artistic activities as well as tourist visits.

In an address read on her behalf by Malika Moussaoui, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Status of Women, Ghania Eddalia, said that summer camps “are the best place for entertainment and learning.

Reiterating Algeria’s “firm” position in favour of  the Palestinian cause, the Minister praised the role of the SMA as an educational and voluntary association that  aims at developing the spiritual, intellectual, physical and social capacities of children and young people and to embody Islamic principles.

For his part, Ambassador of Palestine to Algeria, Louai Aissa, explained that this scout camp “organized for the benefit of Palestinian children, is part of the activities between the Embassy of Palestine and the SMA movement in support to the Palestinian cause “.
