Seven Iraqi soldiers have been killed, Wednesday, by a suicide bomber who blew himself up at the entrance to a base of Iraqi police and soldiers, near the town of Baidji in northern Iraq, several madia reported.
The base was attacked by 5 total terrorists including the suicide bomber. The four others exchanged shots with soldiers, guarding the base for about three hours, Colonel Mohammed al-Assadi said.
These four attackers were killed by police who also deplore six policemen and soldiers wounded in their ranks.
Despite Mosul’s resumption, last month, by Iraqi forces backed by the United States, parts of northern Iraq still remain controlled by ISIS, which has entrenched itself in the mountains near Baidji.
