"Imzad" and "Raina Raï" in concert, Algiers

An evening dedicated to the musical fusion between raï, Tuareg traditional music and contemporary universal genres was animated in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in Algiers by the groups “Imzad” and “Raina Raï”, which enchanted the Algerian public, APS reported.

Organized by the National Office for Culture and Information (Onci), this evening drew a fairly large audience at the outdoor theater of the Casif.

Offering good sound of desert blues combining tamasheq poetry and targui rhythms, the group “Imzad” quickly seduced its audience by the authenticity of its repertory and the energy generated by this fusion and  the power of percussion.

Led by singer and guitarist Bey Ag Alhousseyni, the group has sung titles from its albums “Ed’dounia” and “Oulh N’Ahaggar” (the heart of the Ahaggar) including “Tisnante Nayetma” and “Zinezgoumegh” .
