The elements of the National Gendarmerie have arrested, in the province of Tipaza, two weapons traffickers and seized 4 shotguns, 3 automatic pistols, a 1 Harpoon rifle, a large quantity of ammunition of different calibers, black powder, cartridge filling tools and a metal detector, according to a statement, issued by the Ministry of Defense, on Sunday.
On Saturday August 12th in the province of Biskra, a detachment of Army (ANP) have arrested two smugglers and seized one truck loaded with 40 quintals of tobacco, while in the provinces of Tlemcen, Ouargla and Hassi Messaoud, the detachments of the ANP and elements of the National Gendarmerie arrested apprehended 49 illegal immigrants of different nationalities, said the same source.
In addition, elements of the National Gendarmerie and Border Guards seized, in Tlemcen, a large quantity of treated hashish amounting to 2 quintals and 42,4 kilograms, added the statement.
