The Algerian airline company “Air Algerie” is planning to open a new airline between Hassi Messaoud (province of Ouargla) and Tunis (Tunisia), the General Director of the Company told APS on Tuesday.
“The opening of this line in perspective is part of Air Algérie’s development program aimed at improving the quality of services and also meets customer expectations,” said Bakhouche Alleche, during a working and visit inspection in the province of Ouargla.
In this regard, a market study, covering economic and trade aspects, is being carried out by the company’s services to analyze and evaluate profitability of this line, he explained.
Mr. Alleche also said that the commercial flight, which was scheduled between Ouargla and Tunis last February, was canceled for commercial reasons.
During his visit, the head of Air Algérie inquired about the operation of various installations belonging to the Company through the dairy of Ouargla and that of Hassi Messaoued, while being attentive to the socio-professional concerns raised by the staff of this national company.
In this regard, Mr Alleche stressed the need to improve working conditions, in particular with regard to the reorganization of the working system.
Ouargla has currently two national airports: Ain-El-Beida (Ouargla) and Sidi Mehdi (Touggourt), as well as an international airport Oued Irara-Krim Belkacem (Hassi Messaoud).
