German police revealed, on Friday, that one person has been killed and several wounded in a knife attack in a Hamburg supermarket.
Hamburg police said on Twitter that one suspect has been arrested but that it was too soon to pinpoint a motive.
Police said the attack happened on the corner of Fuhlsbüttler and Hermann-Kauffmann streets in the north of the city, BBC reported.
They warned people to stay away from the area. Witnesses said the attack happened at a branch of Edeka, Germany’s largest supermarket chain, BBC added.
The man ran into a supermarket in the Barmbek neighbourhood and attacked customers with a knife at around 3pm British time, the Telegraph reported.
