A twinning agreement was, recently, inked between Constantine’s teaching hospital “Benbadis ” and the health and population directorate of the province of Souk Ahras, said, Sunday, the director of this institution, Kamel Benyassaad, APS reported.
The same official said that this twinning agreement will include surgical interventions that will be carried out by doctors of the CHU “Benbadis” at the level of three (3) public health establishments of the province of Souk Ahras and in various medical disciplines.
This agreement also includes the care and treatment of certain sensitive cases within these same structures in addition to the training of practitioners and the paramedical staff who performs there.
According to the same source, this agreement will also allow CHU’s doctors to conduct consultations and surgical operations at a distance for the benefit of patients from the province of Souk Ahras.
Benyassaâd also said that the agreement, concluded at the end of last week, aims to alleviate the pressure on Benbadis University Hospital by reducing the number of transfers from the province of Souk Ahras.
Affirming that all human and material resources have been put in place for the success of this commendable initiative, the same official indicated that the twinning program, drawn up by the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, as part of the exchange of experiences between health professionals and the effective training of doctors, surgeons and paramedics.
Mr Benyassaâd also recalled that the Benbadis University Hospital of Constantine has benefited for five (5) years by twinning agreements with the health departments of the provinces of Biskra and El Oued.
