Six civilians have been killed, on Wednesday, in a suicide bombing in Kolofata, in the far north of Cameroon, regularly targeted by attacks of the Nigerian jihadist group “Boko Haram”, AFP reported.
“There were 8 deaths, including six civilians and two suicide bombers. The double explosion took place at the end of the afternoon in Kolofata,” said a source close to the Cameroon security services, on condition of anonymity, without specifying the exact circumstances of the attack.
The attack and the report have been confirmed to the AFP by another security source.
The Far North region has been confronted for several weeks, with a resurgence of attacks attributed to Boko Haram jihadist group.
