Algeria has strongly expressed its solidarity with the Malian people and their government, following the terrorist attacks, on a military camp in Bintagoungou and Kangaba (Bamako), saying it was “convinced” that this strategy of terror will come up against determination of the Malians to continue the work of reconciliation and national edification.

“In recent days, Mali has seen an upsurge in terrorist acts revealing the perpetrators’ attempts to undermine the march of the Malians towards peace and stability,” Foreign Ministry spokesman, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif, said on Monday, in a statement to the APS, following the terrorist attacks took place, on June 17th, against a military camp in “Bintagoungou” and on, June 18th, against Kangaba camp in Bamako.

“Both the attack on a military camp in Bintagoungou and the one perpetrated, yesterday, against the Kangaba camp are an illustration of the will of the obscurantist forces, to weaken peace process in Mali, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said.

“As peace faces these murderous attacks, we express our solidarity with the people and government of Mali brothers, just as we assure our sympathies to the families of the victims,” he added.

“We remain convinced that this strategy of terror will come up against determination of all the Malian components, to continue the work of reconciliation and national edification,” the spokesman continued saying.
