More than 761,000 pupils begin Sunday their baccalaureate exam for the year 2017 in 2.518 examination centers in all provinces of the country, besides more than 3700 prisoners are also concerned by this test, Radio Algerie reported.
The Minister of National Education, Nouria Benghabrit, has kicked off the 5-day exam (June 11-15) from the provinces of Guelma and Souk Ahras.
As regards prisoners’ candidates, the Ministry of Justice has specified that the tests would be conducted under the supervision of the National Examinations Office (ONEC) as it will be supervised by officials of the Agreement between the two institutions.
On the other hand, in order to preserve the credibility of the baccalaureate examination and to guarantee the principle of equal opportunities between candidates, Mrs Benghebrit had assured that the necessary measures had been made to secure the operation through ” An extremely long and very specific protocol that will be implemented at the local level with the contribution of the security services. “
