Iran's Twin Attack: 8 more terrorists, in connection with assailants, arrested

Eight more suspects have been arrested in connection with the recent terrorist attacks in the capital, Tehran, announced an Iranian judicial official, Press TV reported.


Ahmad Fazelian, with the Justice Department of Iran’s Alborz Province, said the eight were accused of having provided backup for the five terrorists who carried out two  terrorist attacks in Tehran on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, gunmen stormed Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) and the Mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, causing the death of at least 17 people and injuring nearly 50 others.

All the five assailants of the twin attacks were killed by Iranian security forces.
