Algeria has strongly condemned, on Thursday, the “foul” terrorist attack, took place on Wednesday in Maiduguri, Nigeria, assuring the Nigerian people and government of its support in their fight against terrorism, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“The terrorist sect, Boko Haram, perseveres in its indiscriminate persecution of civilians. His latest misdeed in the town of Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria, on Wednesday, has left, in this month of piety and forgiveness, 14 victims including peaceful and innocent civilians, “Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdelaziz Benali Cherif said in a statement to APS.
“This foul terrorist act, once again, shows the true face of terrorism that tramples on human and religious values and affects, in a repeated and recurring way, to the sacredness of human life,” he said.
“We reiterate our condemnation of the criminal acts of this terrorist group, Boko Haram, and offer our condolences to the families of the victims. We also express our solidarity with the Nigerian people and government and assure them of our support in their uncompromising struggle against terrorism, “added the Foreign Ministry spokesman.
