More than 7,000 Mujahideen testimonies were collected by the National Mujahideen Museum, Mustapha Bitam, Director of the museum, said on Monday, APS reported.
In a statement to the press following a meeting on the collection of testimonies from the Mujahedin on “the organization of popular protests during the war of national liberation” at the museum’s headquarters, Bitam said that his institution had managed to collect 7,000 testimonials from the Mujahedeen, an average of more than 4,000 hours of testimonies on various themes inherent in the Glorious Revolution.
The role of museums is to collect the historical material and make it available to researchers, noting that a first step in the classification of these testimonies takes into account several criteria, in particular their relationship to historical facts.
In this aspect, Bitam urged all Mujahedeen to bring their lively testimony to contribute to the writing of history, calling the initiative “a national duty to preserve national memory.”
