Algeria’s new Prime Minister: Brief professional biography

The newly appointed Prime Minister, Abdulmadjid Tabboun was born on November 17, 1945 in the city of Al-Mashria, the province of Al-naama; graduated from the National School of Administration, after finishing high studies in field of economics and finance 1965.

 

Tabboun has held many political, parliamentary and ministerial positions as follows:

Secretary General of the several provinces: Adrar, Batna and Masila, as he has been selected as Governor for the following provinces: Djelfa, Adrar, Tiaret and Tizi Ouzou.

1991-1992 Minister in charge of local communities

1999 Minister of Housing and Construction

2000: Minister of Communications

2001-2002: Minister of Housing and Construction

2012: Minister of Housing and Urbanization

2013: Minister of Housing and Urbanization

2014: Minister of Housing, Urbanization and City

2017: Minister of Housing, Urbanization and City.

24 May 2017: First Minister.
